The South Main Mercado is a vibrant outdoor market in Rockford, Illinois, created to celebrate the city’s rich Hispanic and Latino heritage while bringing neighbors, families, local businesses, and community organizations together.

Organized by the Ethnic Heritage Museum, Comprehensive Community Solutions, La Onda, and SWIFTT, this free, family-friendly event highlights the culture, creativity, and community spirit of south Rockford. Guests can enjoy live entertainment from local artists, explore a wide variety of vendors offering jewelry, clothing, art, handmade goods, and more, and try delicious food from local food trucks.
